Job Description

Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, your key responsibility is the growth of Aftersales business within the Southern Region. 

The area already hosts an existing client portfolio but ultimately the success of the role hinges on 50% New Business Development and 50% Account Management of our existing customer base maximising the foot print of Crown aftersales and market share. 

  • Increase Direct parts sales by 20% (Tyres, Forks, Work assist and Infolink etc)
  • Short term rental
  • Full maintenance contracts
  • Preventative maintenance agreements
  • Thorough examination agreements
  • PTH maintenance agreements
  • Battery care agreements
  • Loading dock ramp and doors. (development products)
  • Driver Training 

All targets will be set annually dependant on experience and detailed within the annual bonus structure. 


  • Resource Management
    • Review and respond to all marketing lead’s within 48 hrs.
    • Schedule Monthly review meetings with RSM


  • Profit and Loss
    • Maximise all revenue potential for each customer.


  • Operational Efficiency
    • Target to grow chargeable revenues by 10% per annum.
    • Ensure 100% of rejected estimates are followed up along with STS.


  • Customer Relations
    • Liaise with National Customer Service Managers to ensure all possible equipment is contracted.


  • Service Reviews
    • Plan and complete regular business reviews of key customer accounts.


  • Reporting / Administration
    • Manage and report on all leads and enquiries
    • Establish strong reporting routines and internal relationships.


  • Safety and Risk Management
    • Promote a safe workplace for all by your actions.

Person Specification

Essential Skills:


  • Recent and relevant experience (minimum of 4 years) of working in the forklift truck service environment.
  • People management systems and processes
  • Customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to influence and use diplomacy with clients and colleagues
  • To ensure effective written and verbal communication of all critical corporate and operational issues within the region.
  • Ability to interpret statistical data to identify trends and present findings.
  • Educated with an ability to achieve a grade C in English and maths at GCSE.
  • Commitment to continuing personal and professional development.
  • Excellent organisational skills, resourceful and solution driven.
  • A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi‐task, prioritising workloads to work to tight deadlines.
  • Consultation and negotiation skills.
  • Flexibility to cope with diverse needs of the post.
  • Highly motivated and possessing a resilience to work under pressure.
  • Positive, personable and optimistic with a can do attitude.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Vacancy Details


Hours of   Work:

Monday to Friday – 37 hours per week, but may be more to fulfill the job requirements.

Target   Salary:

Highly competitive salary plus excellent commission and quarterly bonus.

Company   Vehicle:

Company car & fuel card; private mileage benefit subject to tax regulations.
